Homax® Orange Peel & Knockdown Ceiling Texture is ideal
for repairing, remodeling, or even applying orange peel and
knockdown textures to a new ceiling surface.
VENTILATE AREA WELL. PROTECT SURROUNDING. AREA
FROM OVERSPRAY. DO NOT SPRAY ON CLOTHING,
FURNITURE OR CARPET. WEAR EYE PROTECTION AND
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
• Water-based, use warm water for cleanup.
• Sprays best between 68-72˚. If pressure is too
low, place can in warm water, if pressure is too high,
place in can in cold water.
DIRECTIONS: MAKE ANY NECESSARY CEILING REPAIRS
BEFORE APPLYING. IF PATCHING OR APPLYING TO NEW
DRYWALL, PRIMING SURFACE PRIOR TO APPLICATION IS
RECOMMENDED.

Shake can vigorously for one minute prior to use.
2. Pointing away from face, carefully place straw
designed for pattern of choice securely into actuator.
3. Always practice spraying on cardboard or
scrap drywall to determine preferred pattern.
For ORANGE PEEL TEXTURES:
-Place BLACK STRAW in actuator tip.
Hold can vertically and SPRAY at a distance of
12-18" from surface using a sweeping (back
and forth) motion. For FINER ORANGE PEEL,
heat can by running under warm water.
For KNOCKDOWN TEXTURES:
-Place WHITE STRAW in actuator tip
For HEAVY/LARGE KNOCKDOWN
patterns,
build texture up slightly, or spray in
short bursts.
Allow texture to dry 1-2 minutes
before LIGHTLY KNOCKING DOWN OR
FLATTENING
using a 6-8" wet drywall knife.
For best results, hold knife almost parallel to the
ceiling. Texture can be scraped off and reapplied
when still wet until desired pattern is achieved.
PATCHING:
Surface should be clean and dry
before applying. Priming is recommended.
Apply to match existing surface, feathering
outward and overlapping existing ceiling texture.
ENTIRE CEILING:
Begin applying in one corner
and continuously spray an even coat of texture,
sweeping back and forth across ceiling
(spraying in short bursts will tend to result in
inconsistent splatter sizes). Texture can be
scraped off while still wet if you wish to re-apply.
DRY TIME: Allow to dry 2-5 hours before
painting (depending on heaviness of pattern).
4. To store, remove straw, turn upside down and spray until
texture is cleared.

TRACT IRRITATION. Contains Calcium Carbonate, Clay,
Perlite, Titanium Dioxide and Dimethyl Ether (propellent).
Vapors may catch fire. Keep away from heat, sparks and
flame. Extinguish all flames and sources of ignition during
use and until all vapors are gone. Prevent build-up of
vapors by opening all windows and doors to achieve
cross-ventilation. Store upright in a cool, dry place. Avoid
prolonged exposure to sunlight and other heat sources that
may cause bursting. Do not puncture, incinerate, burn or
store above 120°F. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid
breathing vapor and spray mist. Avoid contact with eyes
and skin. Wear safety glasses or goggles. Wash hands after
using. FIRST AID: For eye contact, flush thoroughly with
water for 15 minutes and get medical attention. For skin
contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If inhaled,
remove person to fresh air. If breathing does not improve,
get medical attention.

La textura Homax® para cielos rasos es ideal para reparar,
remodelar, o incluso aplicar texturas de piel de naranja e

DEL ROCIADO EXCESIVO. NO ROCÍE EN LA ROPA, LOS MUEBLES O
LA ALFOMBRA.
• A base de agua, use agua tibia para limpiar.
• Rocíe preferentemente a temperatura ambiente. Si la presión
es muy baja, sumerja el envase en agua tibia; en caso de que
sea demasiado elevada, sumérjalo en agua fría.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO: ANTES DE LA APLICACIÓN, REPARE LA
PARED SEGÚN SEA NECESARIO. PARA OBTENER MEJORES
RESULTADOS, APLIQUE PINTURA BASE O SELLE EL ÁREA ANTES Y
DESPUÉS DE APLICAR LA TEXTURA.
1. Agite la lata vigorosamente durante un minuto antes de usarla.
2.
Apunte lejos de la cara, coloque de manera segura la cánula diseñada
para el patrón de su elección, dentro del dispositivo de accionamiento.
3. Siempre practique el rociado en cartón o un
fragmento de panel de yeso para determinar la
modalidad que prefiere.
PARA TEXTURAS DE PIEL DE NARANJA:
-Use la cánula de color negro
Para un acabado de PIEL DE NARANJA FINO,
caliente la lata colocándola sobre una corriente de
agua caliente. ROCÍE
manteniendo una distancia de
12-18" (30-46 cm) de la superficie.
PARA TEXTURAS CON ACABADO PLANCHADO:
-Use la cánula de color blanco
Para PRECIPITACIÓN GRUESO Para obtener
patrones de salpicado más grueso o abundante,
acumule levemente la textura o rocíe dando toques
cortos. Deje secar la textura 1 ó 2 minutos antes de
PLANCHARLA O EMPAREJARLA LIGERAMENTE
con una espátula de 6-8 pulgadas (15-20 cm).
Para obtener mejores resultados, sostenga la
espátula casi paralela a la pared.
REMIENDO:
La superficie debe estar limpia y seca
antes de realizar la aplicación. Se recomienda la
aplicación de pintura base. Aplique para igualar la
superficie existente, expandiendo hacia fuera y
superponiendo la textura nueva sobre la existente.
CIELO RASO COMPLETO:
Comience la aplicación
en una esquina y aplique una capa de textura
rociando en forma continua y pareja, con movimientos
hacia delante y atrás en todo el cielo raso (rociar con
toques cortos puede producir tamaños de salpicado
inconsistentes). Puede quitar la textura raspando y
volver a aplicarla mientras aún esté húmeda.
TIEMPO DE SECADO: Deje secar de 2 a 5 horas a
ntes de
pintar (dependiendo del grosor del patrón).

aerosol quedará limpia.
